 Post subject: Car 57 progress

Thanks to some breaks in the weather I have been building and adding more top deck screen frames, these are glass and keep out the weather but let in the light, the difference inside the car is amazing less draughts and much more light. I also built more toplight frames for the south side and installed those, thanks to our glass shopw we get all our glass at $1 dollar a piece, when you have 140 pieces in one car thats a real bonus !
We also investigated the condition of the original floor underneath our RR installed 1952 floor (all made from packing crates addressed to the Cheyenne roundhouse) and so far it looks pretty good.

A credit to those of you involved.

Taking a passenger car which could easily have been considered 'too hard', you've really worked wonders and sympathetically turned the 'chicken coop' into what it's meant to be.
