Freight guys at the IRM have been working on a Pensy bobber caboose and are missing a door latch of the type pictured. We have seen the same latch on MILW and CNW cabooses. I'm probably getting the spelling wrong here but it is of cast brass from a former Milwaukee company, Luffelholtz.
Anyone out there know where we might locate one?

Try checking with Adlake, I think they made similar ones.

I looked through an Adlake "Hardware and Fixtures" catalog that I have from the 50's (?). I didn't have to go far as the closest latch to the one pictured in your original post was on page one. Check the dimensions to see how close it is to your Luffelholtz...whether Adlake can still provide it or not you'll have to check with them but at least you have their model number. Hope this helps.
