Post subject:  Cincinnati Railroad Club meeting

The Cincinnati Railroad Club is bringing in a special speaker for it's January '11 program; Mr. Stan Getz of Mason City, Iowa. Mr. Getz is re-creating a Virginia & Truckee Railroad 2-6-0 originally named the Lyon. Mr. Getz has an interesting and engaging program on the trials and tribulations of building a new Victorian-era steam locomotive from scratch in the modern era. Mr. Getz uses digital projection and has the reputation of being a lively and engaging speaker.

As this program may be of broader interest to the railfan and historical communities at large, we're inviting any and all interested parties to join us on January 6th at 7:30pm in the Reikert Auditorium within the Cincinnati Museum Center. For clarification, this is the same auditorium where Summerail is held annually.

Admission is free. Parking (if an attendant is on-duty) will be $4.50 per car. If no attendant is on-duty, the gate in the north lot will be up and parking will be free.

The Club's monthly business meeting will take place immediately following the program. The Club's business meetings are, as always, open to the public. Any and all will be welcome to stay.

Please fwd this e-mail to any railfan lists that you feel appropriate. A version of this will be going out to all contacts we have. The Museum Center will also be promoting this as part of their Insight Lecture Series.

The speaker's name is actually Mr. Stan Gentry, not Getz.

I have corected the information on the meetng. We had gotten some bad information that resulted in the mis spelling of his name.
