The MTM has been running an even called Santa's Trainshop 2010 this year, and I was fortunate enough to be able to visit with my 3 year old granddaughter yesterday. The place was crowded with paying customers, visiting Santa, riding the train, making Christmas ornaments and view multiple model railroad layouts. My little Lily particularly liked the SD45, the Dan Patch, the train ride, and the Christmas ornament craft place. The museum's volunteers were plentiful, informative and kind. This event speaks volumes for the museum, its marketing and its members. I wouldn't have gone were it not for my train-loving granddaughter, but I can assure you I'll go back again next year. Regards, Doug |

I was there in November to inspect the B-71, and look forward to spending some more time there next summer when we ship the locomotive out. I was very impressed at the quality of their operation and the condition of much of their equipment. |

My little 3 year old stood quietly on the wooden steps that put her at eye level with the SD-45's cab. She stared inside, a look of wonder on her face and then turned to me and said, "My daddy does that grandpa? For real?" And I said, "Yes, Lily your daddy runs locomotives just like this and bigger." She put her arms around my neck and softly said, "Oh grandpa, I'm so proud of him!" Merry Christmas, little one. |

Is that SD45 operational? It looks too clean and shiney, like it stays indoors and not running and able to occasionally stretch it's legs. |

Its blue carded and ready to go. Actually owned by the GN Historical Society and was used on some trips earlier in the year. |
