Was fooling around on YouTube again, and apparently there are "channels" on the service, in which some people set up multiple videos. One, called Poath Junction, based in Australia, has a bunch of vintage rail videos (largely old PR films). Two bits on "Snowdrift at Bleath Gill". Look carefully as the plough charges the drift about five minutes in: the clearance team sit on the fence to watch, and some of them are knocked over backwards by the flying snow. One of the engines, 78018, is under restoration at Darlington. Tim |
