In honor of the Pacific Locomotive Association’s 50th anniversary the Niles Canyon Railway will be hosting special steam and diesel powered special trains on Sunday March 13th, 2011, the day after Winterail in Stockton, CA. The special passenger train will depart Sunol at 8:45am. On the return trip to Sunol both passenger and freight trains will perform numerous run-bys deep in the beautiful Niles Canyon.
