Looks to me like those two "options" add up to absolutely zero. Move at your own expense, buy everything you need yourselves, and our staff will figure out how to tax it for you. PC |

They should consider moving up to Wiscasset and hooking up with the WW&F people - at least the stuff would look more at home and some of it could occasionally operate on an honest to goodness 2 ft line. |

I believe the Maine Narrow Gauge and WW&F did have some discussions about a merger, but in the end mutually agreed otherwise. |

Careful. Whatever relationship those organizations already have, it is human nature to have politics. Politics has a funny way of amplifying the severity of disputes so minor disagreements seem as significant as major ones, least to the folks involved. There's no telling what exists between the groups but you can be sure it's something, and your comment arrives unaware of it. And it's not even a solid thing. Organizations X and Y often collaborate brilliantly on visible things while dislike and distrust runs under the surface. |

There's actually quite a lot of enthusiastic cross-membership and volunteerism between the MNG, SR&RL, WW&F and Boothbay... it's such a small fraternity, members are generally big fans of each others historical niche. Stephen |

Stephen Hi All, I agree with Steven. It is very common for volunteers from one Maine Two Foot group to actively support the work initiatives of the other groups. It is also very common for the Maine groups to share equipment and trade items between each other. Its actually a pretty neat situation. With the two footers, a lot of supporters have more than one "favorite". |
