Hank, Are you refering to "La Junta", a 4-2-0? One of my books stated it is a Richard Norris & Son engine, built in 1840; although it could be wrong. Do you have a photograph of it? In regards to Rogers Ketchum & Grosvenor; it was one of three builders located in Paterson. It later became know as the Rogers Locomotive Works; and was merged along with several other builders into ALCO. The "General", mentioned below, is also a Rogers Ketchum & Grosvenor locomotive; built in 1855. The other Rogers Locomotives I have in "Surviving World Steam Locomotives" are all built after it was known as the Rogers Locomotive Works; the first one being the 4-4-0 "Sam Hill" at the Henry Ford Museum, which was built in 1858. -James Hefner Hebrews 10:20a > Built first locomotive used in Cuba. > Loco preserved in central station in Havana. > Any background info available?
