Anyone have any info on these 7 heavyweight cars? Where did they come from? Are they going to Rescar as the poster suggests? Who's rebuilding them and why? etc, etc...

They show up at about the 1:40 mark in the video. Reporting marks of clpx are visible on at least some of the cars.

Reporting mark is for Boulder Scientific. Cars were at Mead, CO. Looks like 8 cars in the picture.

That was a typo, should have read 7. (I've edited the original post to correct)

CSXT 972348 ( visable under the paint is L&N 42348)
CSXT 990210 (visable under the paint is SBD 770210)
SBD 765374 (ATLANTIC COAST LINE is visable under paint, as well as PULLMAN and the name Columbia College)

The cars are owned by Boulder Scientific Company, which also owns the former Rescar facility in Hudson Colorado (which it operates as the Hudson Terminal Railroad). The cars were moved to Hudson as the lease for the siding they were stored on near Mead was up. Cars will most likley just continue to be stored in Hudson.

The platform car at the end of the cut looks just like a Santa Fe superintendent's? car..... The museum in chandler AZ has a very nice one....
I hear that boulder scientific owns a few more like these as well....wonder what they might be?
