I find it absolutely amazing what a professional can do with old paper. I recently saw this non railroad story in the NY Times. A 240 year old map of NY City has recently been restored. The before and after photos are amazing.

Knowing the importance and historic value of old maps is what led me to scan my own map of Pennsylvania's railroads mentioned in an earlier post. I hope they are able to do as well with the Flagler prints as the folks in New York did with the map.
