Does anyone have a recommendation for a place/person who is known to be competent and reliable for servicing and cleaning railroad-grade pocket timepieces? I'd prefer someone in the Northeast, if possible. No doubt at least a few of you operating types have and use a railroad-grade pocket watch, and probably have a place to service it. My Hamilton 992B needs some attention.

Thanks,

Howard P.

I can pass you two secondhand recommendations:

http://www.johnalabasterwatchandclock.com/ Vienna, Va.

http://www.eckersclocks.com/ Bethesda, Md.

Both places came recommended to me by an associate who has a vintage-clock-and-watch fetish of sorts. Although I suspect there has to be someplace closer to home for you.....
