Post subject:  Info wanted on NYC coach 2108

I am looking for some info on the NYC coach 2108 that is listed on Ozarkmountainrailcar web site. The car is in Greenwich NY, I would like to know
more about the car before we make a trip up there to look at it
We are in contact with Ozarkmountainrailcar, any additional info will be helpfull

Looks like a rode hard, put up wet commuter coach. AP-EEs and the Adlake install from the outside window frames are a plus. Pre-War Budd + NYC to PC to Metro-North + long distance window arrangement converted to commuter seating is probabaly not a plus for an operating car. I would verify the H tightlock business and make sure they're not actually T tightlocks. I'm wondering about the comp shoe thing too -- hard to tell in the pix, but I'd guess cast iron. Sliding cheapo storm windows (always sexy in a railroad car --gagging as I type) and seriously fogged lexan making it look worse than it probably is. The sliding windows would also make you question the status of the electrical and HVAC systems. Take your wheel gage...
