The trolley barn and shops of the Oakwood (Dayton) Street Railway are being demolished now. I pass these shops every day on my commute to my employer, who is the owner. These shops served as a Chevrolet dealer for about 60 years, but the dealer went out of business and the property has been sold to the University of Dayton. The site will become a new student dormitory. I have been watching the site for any artifacts, but I don't believe there are any remaining.

It has been interesting to see the demolition of the shops area. These appear to have been heavy shops, with three high clearance bays including traveling cranes. It appears in the auto era that floor beams were laid across the crane rails and a second story for offices constructed in the clerestory.
