A fabulous 8 x 10 glass-plate image of a Pere Marquette parlor car interior circa 1905 has appeared on the Shorpy website:

Gotta love the resolution of that huge a glass plate negative! Look at the clerestory windows! Is that tooled leather gasketing?

(And as noted later on the page, you can see the reflection of the camera in the parlor mirror!)

Enjoy!

What a stunning image! I'd much prefer to travel this way than in AmCafe cars or flying tin cans any day!

Ok, I now have spent the last hour and a half looking at that website - neat, neat stuff!
