Earlier this week on the NBC-TV show The Biggest Loser, two competing teams had a combined task of moving a caboose while guessing nutritional value of products stored aboard.

The show rigged a girder with six outriggers (three on a side) to the rear of a caboose. I could not see any RR logos on the caboose. Each of six competitors took position on an outrigger; and, at signal, pushed the caboose forward on level track. On board two of their compatriots selected and tossed various bags of products that signified low calories, low sodium, low fat etc. The team with the fastest caboose speed and the correct selection of products won immunity from elimination.

The "push" took place at night on a double track well-ballasted line. Does anybody know the location of this railroad and the origin of the caboose?

My GF called me into the room when she saw they were doing something with a train.

The "ranch" the show is filmed on is in the Agoura Hills/Thousand Oaks area of Southern California which is about 30 minutes from the Fillmore and Western Railroad of movie train fame. I can't specifically identify the exact location or the particular caboose, but I'd bet that's where it was filmed.

My favorite "filmed on the Fillmore" scene is the Budweiser commercial where the Clydesdale who didn't make the cut for a spot on the team is being trained by the Dalmatian. Part of his training program involves pulling a flatcar, and the citrus grove in the background is a "dead giveaway".
