Jim, you are just too good! It was a really great show too! The second show on passenger service was also a good one. I can't remember trhe last time they had a bad show.

Gas Fumes refers to automobiles
Both led to the demise of passenger service.
Still, I think they could have dreamed up a better title.
Either way its great to have a network present some train programming. The model RR program is also good.

I "DVR" this program every Monday night via Direct TV. For me, the DVR is the best invention since the microwave.

I know I missed having this channel when I had cable. Last week's episode featured vintage footage of the GG-1. Each week is something good and unexpected.

Don't miss this if you have RFD TV on Direct TV or DISH.

We have provided 18 shows for RFD-TV which seem to be repeated occasionally but I never know when they will pop up in their schedule. RFD has shown them in the UK and Brazil as well as the US and Canada. Last fall, they asked if I would mind them showing the shows in Russia which I agreed to but I haven't heard any more about that so I don't know if they have done it or not.

Also, RFD doesn't pay the suppliers of these programs anything so if you see a program you like, go to that producers' web site and order something (doesn't have to be one of mine). It's the only remuneration they get for providing the shows.

One good thing about RFD running these shows is that it gets railroad subjects out to people who would never know about them otherwise. That resulted in many entirely new customers for our videos, especially the first time or two that they were broadcast.

I assume he means "I Love Toy Trains" on Thursdays at 4pm (ET) and repeats Friday mornings at 2 am. It's mostly "O" gauge Lionel type stuff with some pretty darn amazing layouts and collections.

BTW, I was perusing the listings for upcoming episodes of "Trains & Locomotives" and noticed that the title of the February 7th show is "The Schuykill Shifter". What, pray tell, is a "Schuykill Shifter"? Should I keep the doors locked and a gun handy?

Mr. Ed: Next week's show is, apparently, some or all of a mark I Video. Here's the description I copied off the Mark I Video's website. Not sure whether we'll be viewing the "Return of the Rambles" part of it, however.

Thanks Jim for the heads up. Like I stated, I might forget to post what's coming on if I get busy at work and don't get to the TV to check. I realy do like their shows. We used to have Tracks Ahead with Spenser Christian here on our NJ Public TV station but they either moved it or dropped it.

I didn't look it up since it was posted. Next week I'll post what is actually going to be on. Last night's show was a repeat (most of them are) but it was a good one. It was of the C&O 614 run across NJ to NY. Ross Rowland did a great job, as usual. It was nice to watch 614 blast along the tracks. It would be nice to see that run made again.

It's kind of obscure, unless one is hip with the narrow-gauge scene, but "Tin Feathers and Gasoline Fumes" was the title of an article on the RGS galloping geese by Stan Rhine that appeared in the "Colorado Rail Annual" in 1971.

I went to www.rfdtv.com and found some streaming video but none on Trains & Locomotives. Probably has something to do with the fact that the videos shown are part of videos for sale. Go up this thread a bit and the company, Mark 1, that sells these made a post. Or try searching Mark 1 videos online.
