I just saw this photo of 90 come up on Railpictures.net: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=355901

It got me wondering, why was the smoke box cut back, and when?

Also, when looking at this photo, http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=341836 it seems the tender was also modified at some point. Was that simply to give it more capacity without needing the extra coal boards?

Ahh, thanks Mike. Hadn't really thought to fire up the search. Sorry!
