I need to locate and get copies of real detailed, (preferably original, but I'll take what I can get) drawings of the "two-rivet" and "three-rivet" versions of the Two-footer coupler shank, as used on the; SR&RL, WW&F, etc.. railroads with their 3/4-contour coupler heads.

The two-rivet shanks appear to have always been used on the freight cars and the three-bolt shanks were always used on the Varnish (I believe).

I also need to know the basic dimensions for the common "engine shanks" that the Two-footers used, and there might be a few different sizes of these. I would use the most common size that was used on the later 2-footer steam locomotives. I have some info on the SR&RL #23 and it appears to have used a 4+5/8" inside pocket height on both the pilot and the tender coupler pockets. A 4.5 tall shank would be the right one for this size pocket. The pivot hole pin appears to be about 1+3/4" dia.

Does anyone have any info supporting or against any of this info?

I figured out the locomotive shank was 4.5" x 4.5" square and has a 4' length to the pin center and a 1+9/16" cored & reamed pivot pin hole. The pin could be 1.5" depending on the sleeve's wall thickness.

Now all I need to verify are the 2-rivet and 3-rivet shank dimensions on the two-footers.

Are they both 3.75" x 3.75" square shanks from the head back? I think that is correct, but I still need the length and the butt dimensions, and those pesky river hole locations.
