Post subject:  OCMS and Mumford Railroad Revival Tour

Any ideas what vintage railcars these excellent bands will use on their Railroad Revival Tour? Which, BTW, includes a railroad museum as a venue.

Ha! I just saw that yesterday and meant to post about it but forgot.

I'm curious too. I think this is more evidence of the generation gap that's been mentioned here.

Young people seem to have a higher opinion of rail travel than the current "middle" generation, and things like this illustrate it.

I wonder if any of the guys in the bands are buffs? Having a stop a railroad museum is pretty neat.

We always hear about the classic rockers who are modelers/buffs but I know one of the Old 97's is a modeler and I have heard that 2 or 3 of the Green Day guys are garden railroaders.

Then again, they may have just watched the DVD of The Grateful Dead/The Band/Joplin party train in Canada from 40 years ago and decided to relive it!
