The German firm of Orenstein & Koppel built many narrow gauge Mallet locomotives, but only six were exported to North America; one was sent to Cuba.

Does anybody know about the Cuban loco? Where it ran, if it still exists, etc.???

Greetings again;

I have been in touch with Martin Murray in the UK over the years. He has authored a book on O&K steam locomotives, and I have assisted him with maintaining a list of surviving O&K steam locomotives.

This locomotive does not appear on his list; nor has it been observed or noted in reports over the last ten years or so. My guess is that it has been gone for some time.

He can probably tell you more about where it may have ran. I can give you his e-mail address off-line when I respond to you tonight or tomorrow.
