Post subject:  Car 57 update

Hi to all
Been a while since i posted anything. The car is progressing well, the North side Clerestory is 90% complete, lined out in gold and weatherproof. The West end steps have been refurbished and will be fitted in April ready for the busy season, we can then filter visitors through one door and out the other.
We have insurance, it took ages to organize but we have a company willing to insure the project for a reasonable figure, donations towards the $800 policy would be welcome.
The city of Cheyenne have allowed us to use the 'chapel' building next to the car as a workshop, its a 8 x 20 mock chapel at the end of Gunslingers row and has heat and light so we can leave our tools on site and clear all the junk out of the car, this will enable us to remove the last 1925 bunk car internal wall.
So all in all its progressing well.
Look forward to seeing any of you this summer.

Hi to all

half way through the odd size ceiling panel restoration now, thought you might like to see how its coming along. Razor blade next to remove the 1906 lime green paint.
