It sounds Medieval, but the stocks and public humiliation would bring a great deal of common sense to people weighing the "thrill" of a vandalism spree. |

The sad thing is most of the time the individuals are never caught or the police don't bother getting into a serious investigation. I have no affiliation with CERM but it's sad to see that happen and they have gotten hit more than once. Most of us are all in the same boat, funds and manpower are limited, things like this eat seriously into a museum's finances and ability to operate when resources have to be redirected to deal with events like this. Instead of putting $xxxx into restoring a piece of equipment you now have to put that hard earned $xxxx into fixing damage. It hurts nonprofits relying on donations that keep thier cause going. I'm glad to see they have finished repairing thier round house that they put alot of effort and funds into reconstructing and is one of the focal points of thier museum. |
