We are now well into the second generation of locomotive computer control systems, most of the surviving participants in the market are building units that are far more advanced than their products of the 1990s, and some of the early systems (Woodward CLC and MK-LOC for example) have disappeared through replacement with more advanced units. How many museums, if any, have a microprocessor equipped locomotive preserved? How many museums have any display that explains microprocessor control systems? PC |
