Post subject:  Franco-Crosti boiler

All of the discussion of the LNER and British steam below reminded me of another European innovation, the Franco-Crosti boiler. Here is a video of a preserved and operating Italian locomotive with the boiler arrangement. I do not believe this was tried in the U.S.

I'm sorry but the 2-6-0 shown in the video was a conventional one, not an engine with a Franco-Crosti boiler.
