What's striking to me about this is that I have always thought the bodies of the Genesis units behind the cab were reminiscent of Baldwin Sharks! Seems GE and EMD might want to reconsider nose design! That's great. Riding behind the pointless arrow, you can drink a can of Mountain Dew with a hillbilly on it (made with real sugar), and arrive at your destination and see Creedence, the Doobie Brothers or Rush in concert. |

But you can still see Rush in concert. They're not as young as they once were...but neither are we. However, gone are the days of cruising in Mom's 1978 Malibu Classic with the Pioneer cassette deck, Audiovox seven-channel equalizer/amplifer, and Jensen three-way speakers with Moving Pictures cranked up to nine. Life didn't get much better than that...especially when enroute to photograph Southern #630 (in her first life cycle at TVRM!) |

I "gotcha" Steve.....I remember listening to CCR & the "Doobie Brothers" on the AM radio in my 1970 Nova, on my way to chase (or ocassionally work on) 630 on the old "Washington Division" mainline (gee, my "geezerdom" is really showing) |

Just run a campaign that convinces paranoid parents that diesel locomotives are as detrimental to their/their precious children's health as high-fructose corn syrup............. and then give the consumers the option........ Here in Seattle you can buy it in glass bottles with real sugar. I don't think it's a throwback line though. The Coke is bottled in Mexico, as evidenced by the spanish on the bottle. Yes, that's right, consumers around here are paying a big premium for a smaller sized bottle that is made with Mexican water! Given that trend, selling them on steam should be easy! Speaking of concerts, anyone going to see the "Beach Gramps" this summer? :) |

That was a one-time deal. (Although SR 4501 did run the TAG in '73...my Dad helped with firing duties.) BTW: Jim - Great job on the 'shopping.
