I was recently given some prints by LaMar M. Kelley of Elkhart, IN. They are of CA&E and CNS&M. My understanding is that Mr. Kelley passed away 60+ years ago. Does anyone know if his photographic collection is managed by an archive, as the George Krambles collection is? Thanks. |

This website page asserts much the opposite: http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/b ... y-original Quote: Lamar M. Kelly (d. 1947) of Elkhart IN worked as a helper at the sand house and coal pockets at Elkhart . He was crippled by polio and devoted most his time to rail photography. He traded negatives with Jerry Best who considered Kelley's work to be of varied quality. Kelley died suddenly in a workplace accident in 1947. His negative collection was sold piecemeal.
