While looking for something else on that addictive YouTube site, I came across this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFT8fw22 ... ure=relmfu Egads, where else can you see the entire roster of the B&O Museum in motion (with one or two other items as well that aren't around)? General link to the home site for your exporation: http://www.youtube.com/user/travelfilmarchive Have fun. |

What a great find, we are so lucky that this sort of stuff is preserved in moving pictures. |

When I saw this I the first thing I thought was, "Gotta tell Curt Katz about this!" Curt was a huge Fair of the Iron Horse fan, and he wrote an article about it for Railfan. Then I remembered that Curt passed away Saturday. He really would have enjoyed this film. Walt L. |

I am very sad to hear of Curt Katz's passing. Years ago, I purchased a full length video of the Fair of the Iron Horse from the B&O Railroad Museum. This is only a short segment of it. What makes the full version better is that it shows the other locomotives brought to the Fair by the other railroads. Certainly not enough film was used on these other pieces, but there is a Pennsylvania RR locomotive, a Canadian Pacific RR loco, (no. 2333) and several others. I have no idea if it is still available. |

Well it's good to know that this is nothing new. It's quite likely that Curt knew of it and he probably had a copy in his collection. Walt L. |
