This make two simulators donated by the LIRR to the two prominent railroad museums on the Island. RMLI got the GP-38 cab simulator, while OBRM got the M1 cab. If nothing more, it shows communication between the preservationists and the LIRR.

Remember, they don't have to donate anything.

The reason for OBRM taking the M1 was due to the fact that we had absolutely NO examples of anything electric. Only diesel and steam.
Since this simulator came to us, we’ve also been the recipient of the LIRR’s M7 and DE/DM simulators as the LIRR is no longer going to utilize simulators.
