Isn't the Reading camelback undergoing a time permitting restoration at the moment, along with that ex-Rail Tours ten wheeler from CP?

Sorry, but I was trying to post this on the Strasburg 1967 video thing. Hit new thread by mistake. Oh well.

I believe 972 has "don't ask" chalked on her tank, and restoring the camelback would be a real indulgence. I'm sure someone from SRC will add more comments here.

having chased 972 in the mid-60's, I hate to see her languish without her firebox, and with plenty of tender problems. The 1189, I have been advised, will eventually go back together as time and money allow. In the interim, they are in the best hands for steam locomotives, in the east. Put your worries aside.

I'm not really so worried as holding my breath. How in the world would you get the chance to see a working camelback locomotive in the 21st century?
