The park service has given the green light for 92 day inspections to be performed on the DL&W painted F3's. As a result both have been moved over inspection pits in the former DL&W roundhouse. The photo shows #663 on track 19 in close proximity to DL&W 565.
ARHS and Tristate volunteers are working with NPS personel on the thorough insection. As always additional volunteers are welcome. This begins year two for the F3's at the park and they should pull trains this year. First outing may be a short trip for the ARHS convention (first weekend of June).

They could use those F3s for some sort of photo shoot with the DL&W steamer. Same with the 3713 and 519.

There is a Railfan magazine sponsered photo shoot planned for April 30th with NKP equipment (514 and 759) to represent Buffalo, NY.

Last I checked 514 was a GP9 from NKP.

Exactly why it should be included in the photo shoot.

Any wonder why so many RYPN posters with real experience and knowledge have pulled their hair out and stopped posting?

Looking forward to working side by side with you and your guys, Rich! I think we need a shot of 663 and 565 in the roundhouse.

Nothing like having a steam museum running Diesels, even if they are ex-BAR F3's.
