Post subject:  Air dump car question

The Boulder County Railway Historical Society in Boulder Colorado has an air dump car that we are trying to figure out some history on.

All we know about the car is that it was built around 1930 by the Koeppel Equipment Co. as was bought second or third hand by Public Service Company of Colorado in 1946.

We have foud traces of lettering on the car, including the number 138. The has markings that indicate it was C&E Co. or CSE Co. 138 and I.S. Co. or U.S. Co. 138. Do these initails mean anything to anyone?

The car also has a plate from the Koeppell Co. indicating it is a 30 yard air dump car, serial #482. Does any one know if any records from the Koeppell Co. (of Koeppell PA) survive?

Photos of the car are on our website www.boulderrail.org

Thanks
