Courtesy of the NS and BB railroads C&O 614 will move today dead-in-tow from Roanoke to Clifton Forge via NS Roanoke-Waynesboro and BB Waynesboro-Clifton Forge.

Scheduled departure time from Roanoke is 0701 edt. As her main rods are removed speed will be restricted to 25mph.

Mr. Scott Lindsay has mechanically prepped her for the move and is accompanying her to Clifton Forge.

From all accounts her display with the 611 and 1218 at Roanoke was very well recieved with the VMT setting a one day attendance record and strong visitorship throughout the Celebration of Thoroughbreds exhibit.

614 will be a centerpiece of the upcoming Allegheny Festival to be held at the C&O HS heritage center in Clifton Forge ( see www.cohs.org) on Saturday May 14th. and will be on display at Clifton Forge until she moves later in the summer to White Sulphur Springs.

Special thanks to Wick Moorman and his excellent team of pros at NS for their excellent handling and to the folks at the Buckingham Branch railroad who have gone the extra mile to ensure a smooth trip today.

Ross, if I may ask, what is 614 going to White Sulfur Springs for? Can I guess it's to be brought online for the Greenbrier?

614 arrived at Clifton Forge at approx. 8pm edt last evening after a trouble free journey from Roanoke.

She'll now get a good scrubbing and polishing to be made ready for her part in the upcoming Alleghany Festival ( www.cohs.org) on Sat. 5/14 and for her display role at the COHS Heritage Center until later this summer.
