I was looking for downloads if any exist of public domain books or any manuals on anything steam era related (firing manuals, engineman tests, air brakes, and especially steam operated appliances and valve motion). I have a small collection of books but was curious if any existed out there with the information available for those who don't have access to a private library. Ebay is a great source for finding cheap e-books however some of the technical subjects aren't found too often. Thanks for the help!

John,
Try Google books
http://books.google.com/advanced_book_search?q=steam+locomotive+injector+sellers
Click on the Google search button. You can change the search words.
Or
http://www.Archive.org and type in steam locomotive in the search box. You will be amazed at how many titles have been scanned.

Wow thank you. I knew about Google books but it was in the back of my head so I didn't think of it. I'll pass this along. Thanks again.

And RPCA.com web site. I am not sure how much steam appliance info is up yet.
