Interesting combination of Dinosaur Train Day and DOWT.

I can report from the Rochester & Genesee Valley RR Museum (operating in conjunction with the NYMT) that we had a fairly insane day with the dino train event. Despite the cold and wet weather (It felt like Fall), we had a record setting one-day attendance for our operation! (Great way to start off the season)

Our local PBS affiliate, WXXI did a wonderful job of promoting the event. The trolley ran great, and we rolled out the LV 211 and one of our Empire State Express coaches ... which given the bad weather was an excellent decision. I hope we get to host the event again.

For those interested, here is a short YouTube video of the R&GVRRM operation with LV211 and NYC#2566 from this past Sunday. Not the best day for shooting video even with a waterproof pocket video camera (Kodak PlaySport ZX5).

Thanks again to all of our visitors and to our volunteers who worked very hard at both the R&GVRRM and NYMT to both prepare and carry out this past Sunday's opening day events.
