I posted these links because the first one talks about the use of social media to report on the progress of the airplane's move. The second is the moving company's website.

For us in railroad preservation, some of us have gotten involved in promoting our cause via social media. I think this movement of the "Miracle on the Hudson" aircraft is a great example of how publicity and social media benefit a preservation cause. The aviation museum had the movement donated to them. It's good publicity for the moving company, and the museum can use money allocated for the move to something else.

These articles are potentially good reading on how to use publicity effectively. Make it relevant to the masses, generate excitement, and good things can happen.

By the way, the moving company's website notes that they move railroad equipment as well...
