Hi to all A couple of progress shots of 57 last night, note in the outside picture that we have no internal walls left in the car its now one big open space ! Work is progressing slowly but well. Our truck appeal is going well too and we have almost half the appeal amount already, we thank those kind people who have helped us so far, wheels may not be too far away. Hi Mike, I really enjoy reading about the progress you are making with this car. I was wondering, how much original equipment remains underneath the car? And hypothetically speaking, with trucks, would the car be in any condition to actually be used as rolling stock, or would the trucks be more of a cosmetic component, intended to provide a sense of completeness to the car? |

Hi Joe, We have nothing under the car apart from cut off bolts and truck pins where everything was. We have the sleds for gas tanks and brake cylinders, beams for queen posts etc. She will be static and not move under steam although theoretically she could do as she is in good shape. Mike |

Do you need any window latches? I might have some from that period. Nice job.... you should be complimented for all your beautiful restoration efforts. Rwkpullman |
