yeh, some years ago in Ft Wayne, IN, a street project unearthed the track on the Spy Run avenue, track was never taken up, just paved over, so there it was, brick and all, traffic driving on it till surfacing was done, don't think the rails were taken up either.

Illinois Terminal was unique it never had a direct Chicago connection. Probably would have helped longevity if it did.
