Has anyone ever tried to get this locomotive preserved? Given that it has sat dormant on the Great Walton/Railrhodes for a while and looks to be mechanicly complete by what I heard, I'd say the GP35 could be a museum piece to the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum, The CRHS, or other museums.

It's of great disappointment to The CRHS that this unit is getting rebuilt like it is, but we're not in a position to get involved at the moment, and it seems like the sale is already a done deal.

We've learned, you can't save everything.
