Has anyone ever tried to get this locomotive preserved? Given that it has sat dormant on the Great Walton/Railrhodes for a while and looks to be mechanicly complete by what I heard, I'd say the GP35 could be a museum piece to the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum, The CRHS, or other museums. |

It's of great disappointment to The CRHS that this unit is getting rebuilt like it is, but we're not in a position to get involved at the moment, and it seems like the sale is already a done deal. We've learned, you can't save everything. |
