It is my understanding that the turntable at Strasburg came from the Paducah and Louisville Railroad. It was located at their yard and locmotive servicing facility in downtown Louisville, KY. It was originally an Illinois Central turntable that serviced the roundhouse. If this is indeed that turntable, it was big enough to turn the IC's 4-8-2s and 2-10-2s. While it is good to see it go somewhere where it will be restored, I wish we at the KRM knew about it as well. Best of luck to Strasburg, and I hope to see it operate in the coming years.
