From our brethern Down Under: How to take a rebuilt Hudson for shakedown. It's about 8 1/2 minutes long but I enjoyed every minute of it.

I never get pacing shots like that when I am trackside!!!!!! Welcome back R711. She joins R707, R761 and R766 to mainline status. Other survivors include R704 in the Australian Railway Historical Society museum in Melbourne and 2 as yet totally unrestored class members R700 and R753. These are 4-6-4s and are from a class of 70 built in 1951. Magnificent locos all a bit too late.

As much as I dislike flying and travel in general, I would have loved to have seen Australia and perhaps New Zealand.
