Post subject:  Claud Hamilton Locomotive Group

This is something I noticed while searching through the lner.info locomotive page on the D16s. This really interested me in the point that most of the group are college students, with two high school students as well. It's a young group, and reading through the site, the errors I noticed were minor (punctuation related). They have spunk, I'll give them that, and all their members work with steam locomotives in one way or another. Seeing this group, I realize that these youth are basically devoting the next 2 decades of their lives to gathering enough support and that isn't something you normally see on our side of the pond. They plan on calling the engine they want to build "Phoenix", and I definitely see the symbolism; an extinct class of locomotive being "reborn" to serve a new generation. Might not be a bad idea if some of the more experienced preservationists offer some tips. Here's a link to their website:
