Railroad museums I've found participating so far include the B&O Railroad Museum (a Smithsonian affiliate), the Baltimore Streetcar Museum, and the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pa., the Arkansas Railroad Museum, the Dennison (Oh.) Depot, Gold Coast in Florida, the Nevada Northern, Ogden Union Station, Va. MOT in Roanoke, and the Yaquina Pacific RR HS in Toledo, Oregon. Searching under keyword "Railroad" brings you a multitude of places I've never heard of that ostensibly have some railroad tie-in (located on Railroad Avenue, has a model train layout, have an Alco S2 parked out back, etc.). Many places I would have expected to participate (such as the State RR Museums, Steamtown, Illinois Ry. Museum, etc.) aren't participating, though.

Perhaps coincidentally, Saturday is also the date of the annual fall festival at the WW&F Railway museum in Alna, Maine. Lots of family-oriented events and fun from 10-5.

Travel Town is always free so don't see why we would participate. But I suspect if anyone presents a Museum Day ticket, we'll honor it just the same. :-)

This Saturday is Union Pacific Family day at Travel Town. Not sure what all is going on as I'm not involved with any of the planning for it. Probably a big picnic with tours of the UP cars.
