Anyone have a status on RDG 2100 in Tacoma, WA. News on the engine has been quiet for a while?

Last I heard, she's still sitting on a siding in Richland, WA with her headlight glass all smashed.

Hi Guys, Who exactly owns the 2100 now? There was a rumor a few years back that the owners of the 2100 were thinking about about a trade for a smaller steam locomotive, but I never seen or heard anything else about it. Perhaps our Reading Company friends with the ARHS or the RCT&HS know more than we do? Would be nice to see the T1 back east again!

Wow, the driver tires are looking thin. Hope something useful happens with this engine. It's been jerked around too much as it is.

There aren't a lot of miles on it since its major rebuild in the '80's. It only ran a couple of hundred miles at the most here in Ontario, including the tow to St. Thomas, before it was shipped west. It obviously didn't operate very long in Washington either.

Richland isn't a bad place for a locomotive to set outside in the weather, having worked on tractors near there that have spent decades setting outside. Beats anywhere out east any day. Vandals will be the major threat. Bring it back east only when there is a solid program in place, IMHO.

Hi Guys - Anyone know when the last time the 2100 operated under it's own power? Thanks - David
