I came across this picture the other day on Mount Washington observatory's website. Sylvester Marsh was ridiculed for wanting to "build a railway to the moon". It looks like he succeded..... This is one of thier first trains of the season other than work trains. They have had four times the normal snow fall on the mountain this month. Mount Washington Observatory
