Lets expand on the discussion of models to include builders models of railroad equipment. EMD, ALCO, GE, BALDWIN, LIMA, and BUDD all produced promotional models of their railroad equipment. A list of all these kinds of models would be quite impressive, in the case of EMD alone there were dozens of metal and plaster desk models produced. Do you know of museums that have these kinds of promotional models on display, and if so, what builders and equipment types? PC |
