Consider the photo which follows: it appears to be a 2-4-4-0T (a wheel arrangement I've never seen) and it isn't in our database. It is displayed in from the the railway station in Bar, Montenegro. Anybody have any further information about it? Attachment: sutorman.jpg [ 110.82 KiB | Viewed 3840 times ] |

I thought you meant this was a locomotive "in a bar". Where's the beer? |

On steamlocomotive.info I moved the city of Podgorica from Serbia to Montenegro, corrected the entry for an 0-8-0T in Podgorica, and created a correct locomotive entry for the 2-4-4-0T in Bar, Montenegro, which was previously listed as a 2-4-4T in Bar-Virpazar, Serbia. Thank you for the compliment, but the real credit should go to Rob and Yuehong Dickinson (who run the British International Steam page), and to James Waite who provided the actual report and photos I had. All I did was find this material by these others, who did the actual field work and are willing to share their information--and incidentally, made that information easy to find. Now, if only it were that easy finding suspension details on unusual 19th century tender trucks. . . PS: Rob and Yuehong Dickinson also have been able to travel about and film various steam operations. Some of their video clips can only be described as outstanding. (I'm going to have to raise up a bit of money for some of them). Below is just the page on Chinese narrow gauge: http://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/vid ... eoclip.htm General home page: http://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/internat.htm |
