When or if any of us ever sees The Greenbrier Presidential Express turn a wheel only time will tell, but for this winter season 614 will be staying in Clifton Forge. In the interim, the Video/Slideshow link below dedicated to the project is now updated and contains several new images. This is a progressive piece showing the differing phases of the paint scheme, current as of November 21, 2011. The theme of course is 614, railroading, Clifton Forge, The Greenbrier and West Virginia. The mill scene, midway through, is the world renowned Glade Creek Grist Mill in Babcock State Park, near Clifftop, WV some 22 miles from Hawks Nest. Running time of the short YouTube video/slideshow is 3:10 - Best Viewed In Full Screen - Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtxDF7ZuY7I

Mr. or Ms. 154 is correct. Say what one wants to say about the GBX, which has its critics, but it's nice that 614 is on display in a very appropriate location. It's a good partnership between 614's owner and the C&OHS. |
