I didn't see this posted yet. Taken from the Train news wire.

Former Ohio Central boss adds steam engine to his collection

CLEARFIELD, Ky. – Morehead & North Fork No. 12, an ex-Southern Railway 0-6-0, stored indoors since the railroad dieselized in 1963, has been sold to steam collector Jerry Joe Jacobson. It will be moved to his Age of Steam roundhouse in Sugar Creek, Ohio.

The 1905 Alco has been owned by the M&NF since 1952. In its last years, the M&NF was about 4 miles long and carried mostly coal, clay products, and lumber to an interchange with the former Chesapeake & Ohio at Morehead, Ky. The line was abandoned in 1985. No. 12 joins the line’s other two steam engines, Nos. 11 (2-6-2) and No. 14 (0-6-0), in preservation.

Jacobson told The Morehead News, “It’s a nice rebuildable size with a simple design. It’s been kept in nice shape inside the enginehouse.” He did not reveal the sale price. No. 12 will join 12 other steam locomotives in Jacobson’s collection in the newly built roundhouse.

The locomotive’s tender was trucked out on Nov. 16, and the engine will follow as soon as routing and permits for trucking are approved.

Jacobson is the former owner of Ohio Central. He sold the property to Genesee & Wyoming in 2008, and built the roundhouse to provide shelter to his fleet of steam engines.

And a newspaper article, including a few pictures, from the area.
