It's been a busy year for the CRHS and I'm happy to announce that we've scored two late game touchdowns for this year. First, on Dec 10th, we shipped a former CR (PRR/PC) Class F41D flat car from Baltimore, MD to Middletown, PA. The 715788 is now sitting on the M&H and the plan is to replace the rotting deck, sandblast and paint the car (hopefully) in 2012.
The other score for our growing collection is Triple Crown (Former CR/NS) Roadrailer TCSZ 463491. This piece came directly from Triple Crown and also comes with a rail bogey that we hope to use at some point to do demonstrations to educate the public on these special trailers without flatcars.
These two cars add to our other major acquisition this year, Conrail Camp Car 62610, which hails directly from NS. This is our first donation from NS and we are proud that we've earned their support. The car is currently undergoing restoration and we hope to have it finished by the end of 2012 also.
